Our Soaps Contain Natural Moisturizers
Our soaps are made with the purest, all natural ingredients and fragrance oils; which helps produce the best moisturizer on earth—Glycerin. Glycerin is a natural humectant that pulls moisture from the air and absorbs it, giving you softer, smoother, silkier skin!

Glycerin
The glycerin in our soaps is made naturally, through a procedure known as “cold process.” Cold processing is a term used by soap makers to make quality, handmade soaps. During the saponification process, the pure oils, fats, and butters are heated to a melting temperature and no higher. This procedure helps produce a natural glycerin. In commercial soaps, this “glycerine” is extracted and used to produce commercial lotions, but in homemade soaps, it is left in—thus producing the richest, moistest soap you can find!

To enjoy the greatest benefit from our handmade soaps, we suggest that you stay away from products that contain comedogenic oil; which clogs pores. Products such as petroleum or mineral oils stop your skin from absorbing moisture because they seal your pores shut. In other words, because of the soft, silky feeling these products leave the surface of your skin feeling, you are “tricked” into believing your skin is actually softer, smoother, and moister—when in fact, your skin is not.

You should also stay away from any lotion or moisturizing product that contains Proplylene Glyco. Proplylene Glyco is anti-freeze. It gives the products "slip" to go on smoothly, but the downside is it causes your skin to dry out.

Whenever your skin is dry, flaky, or itchy, you could be deficient in the water area. Water hydrates you from within, thus allowing your skin to retain moisture. It’s not enough to offer moisturizes on the outside of your body, it’s important to moisturize from the inside out. Your body needs water to function at its highest level. If you are deficient in this area, your body will find ways to let you know. If you aren’t already doing so, you should be drinking a minimum of eight full 8 oz. glasses of water a day.

If you have mild to extremely dry skin you should stay away from anti-bacterial or deodorant soaps, which can dry your skin even more!

Have oily skin?
Since our handmade soaps do not contain any greasy oils or products to clog your pores, you should be safe using our products. In fact, the beeswax found in our soaps are actually good for oily skin.
