How long will a handmade bar of soap last?
That depends on how many people in your household are using the product and whether the soaps are used for the body alone, or for the body and the hair. A rough estimate would be 3 to 4 weeks for one bar of soap, per couple when used for the body only. And two to three weeks for one bar of soap when used as a shampoo, per couple.

Handmade soaps always seem to cost more than comercial soaps. Can I really afford them?
Most people have found that after using quality handmade soap, lotions are no longer needed. So although the handmade soaps are a bit more expensive, than commercially made soaps, the cost tends to be about the same when you add in other body moisturizers.

The bars of soap I bought from you seem to have shrunk. Why is that?
Don't be alarmed to find that as time goes on your handmade soap gets smaller and harder. As the moisture evaporates out of your bar of soap, the bar naturally gets smaller and harder. In fact, the harder the soap, the longer it lasts when showering. Just like fine wine, handmade soaps get better with age.

Why is it so important to have glycerin in soap?
It attracts & holds moisture to your skin. The term used is humectant.

My skin is very sensitive Can I use your soap safely?
Our soap is especially kind to sensitve skin. the oils and soapmaking process we use makes a very gentle bar of soap.

Do you use goats milk in your soap?
We do make several soaps with goats milk. However, we do add extra luxurious oils and silk proteins in all our soaps and with those additions it is even better and creamier than with the little bit of milk fat that goes into the soap.

I'm concerned about germs. Are your soaps antibacterial?
Yes all soap is antibacterial to a point. Honey is one of the ingredients that is naturally antibacterial without using chemicals.

Does soap spoil?
No, it does not spoil. We have several bars of soap that are really old ( 8 years?), they are small as all the moisture has evaporated out of them, they are hard as rocks, but they still have scent and would be perfectly good to use.
